I just want to run this past you guys to see what you think .Today i won an ebay auction for a crankshaft to suit a 900 and i am in Australia the crankshaft was in the U.S and i have got an address in the U.S to get my purchases sent to to save the messing around with international shipping . the seller stated that the sale had to be a U.S Continental only so he abused me for messing up his auction and said he would not go ahead with the deal now as far as i am concerned i have complied to his request and i was having it sent to a U.S address so what difference does it make where my computor is::silly:
What do you guys think

Contact eBay. There is a link for item not recieved.
Write him and tell him you will use that if he doesn't ship the part.
I have had many parts shipped to me to foward to Australia.
Next time tell the buyer before you bid. Roy

I think it sucks! The exact same thing happened to me, only it was a bolt company "Wye Valley Supplies" in the U.K. I won some bolts and asked to have them sent to an address in the U.K., but the Aholes at Wye Valley refused to ship them and refunded my money with no explanation. I contacted eBay and they said since the address I wanted the item shipped to wasn't in the same country in which I am registered the seller wasn't required to ship there. It is an idiotic policy. Ed

As long as it is being shipped to a US address You followed his rules. Contact eBay and make your PayPal payment. It will not affect him in the least in the shipping department, as long as he ships in the us.

I think he is only required to ship to a confirmed address. if the address is not confirmed, he can cancel the transaction. That is my understanding.

A few years back some asshat in Nigeria got one of my credit card numbers and ordered a bunch of gold with it..
In another instance I was selling a wrecked car for parts on ebay and someone from overseas (Africa) tried to pull a scam on me.. Told him to pack sand.
I understand the seller not wanting to be taken to the cleaner and odd shipping is often a sign. I buy a lot of parts from overseas and have never had shipping issues, but I always ship to my home address.

I'm seeing this as more of an issue with the payment than where it is shipped. I'm not sure how all this works with PayPal, but I know that in my business, we only do international orders when the customer pays in advance by bank wire transfer. International credit card purchases are not safe (our average sale is anywhere from several hundred to several thousand dollars--more than we're willing to risk by accepting int'l credit cards).
Perhaps the seller just isn't willing to deal with the extra headache and potential risk of collecting payment internationally. So when an EBay seller specifies "no international sales", you shouldn't just assume that they mean "no international shipping".

I had a guy in Puerto Rico buy from me once. I shipped it to an international shipping company in Florida who then shipped it on to him. No troubles at all. But then there are those others out there that cause policies.

Unfortunately, it may also only be a seller option not to sell outside their resident country. Like what friggin difference should it matter... you sell it, you've been pre-paid by secure means such as PayPal and if the buyer is paying the shipping costs.... ship the damn part already.
Example, when I won and purchased my OEM shop manual... I didn't receive the manual for ~ a week. So I e-mailed the seller asking what gives... Long story short, asks me if I'm Canadian for the manual was supposed to be ONLY purchased by US resident!
He writes some long winded BS story about keeping the manual and parts state side where he didn't want it in foreign lands.
Obviously I replied, unless he considered Arizona a foreign country, ship my damn manual you redneck prejudice yuppy closet case homosexual asswipe...
Ah well, people in general suckass... Just my opinion...
And we all know what that means... Yeah, everyone has one...
