Opening night at the drags (PICS)

I only got a couple of pics from Friday night. The track looks awesome but is going to need to be broken in. The new 660 feet of concrete is pretty slick.

wow.........that looks like a slick track.......very nice. Is that a zx-14 i see there? What did it run in the 1/4?

He just got that bike 2 days before the pic so he took it easy. He only ran a 11 something. He only did one pass and went home to tear it apart. He is making it a dragbike. :laugh:

thats what i like to hear. Taking an already incredible bike, just off the showroom floor and tearing into it to make it faster

I'll look around and see if anyone has some video. All the fast cars were all over the track due to it being so fresh. It was a little scary sometimes. I was on my sons zx6 and the first run I kept the wheel up for about 80 feet but was moving towards the centerline until I shifted into 2nd. That felt pretty good. I still got a 12.52 out of a 15 year old 600. On my second pass I beat a guy on a 05 Busa. He had problems getting into 3rd but a win is a win.

Shit 12.52 aint a bad run. And yup, a win is a win...lol

are ya sure you didnt psych him out? :laugh: they definately to get some rubber on that track,why did they finish the concrete that smooth?

that's why it looked familar i should have recocnized it looks like bucky astin is dead serious about getting the track up and in good shape nice to see.it gives us all some other place to play now up in the northwest division.

Actually it's west of Spokane WA in Airway Heights.
