Elkhart Lake 1981 Mr. Muzzy on Eddie's bike.



Superbike start Elkhart Lake 1981 from pitside. Trianglelaguna posted a photo of this same start but from the other side of the track back on page 57. In this photo the bikes have traveled a few feet further then they have in his photo.

I was there at Elkhart Lake....probably wondering around the place looking for a better view....Hell...there were lots of good views at that track...never satisfied...

Remember being down at Canada Corner and watched Freddie Spencer on his Honda come barreling down to the corner....go straight into the woods instead of trying to take the turn...he had a small rock wedged in his carb slide and couldn't shut it down so rode it into the woods on the throttle...scary!

You can't beat Elkhart Lake for its great spectator views of the track.

Best road racing track in America, plus the BEST FOOD at any race track in America too!!!

Makes me want to throw some bratwurst on the grill now!!!!!!

You can't beat the smell of burnt race gas mixed in with the smoke from the brats cooking there.

The King blasting through the trioval at Daytona on that 680cc Yamaha on his way to victory in 1983? Back then they let you walk out on the grass in the trioval to you got about 20 feet from the track. It was scary standing out there!!!

Hey Craig just don't sell them. I got a few people in England that want to buy some of my old Superbike pictures from me. I have to find a old time photo shop that can made blowups from my negatives that I just found. I went through a change of life trying to find all my negatives that I had packed away in my storage unit. I opened and had to reseal over 25 boxes till I found them!!! I can't believe how they love our old sit up and beg 1000cc Superbikes in England. I see the photos I post are not as sharp or clear as the original pictures. Glad you enjoyed looking at them too!!
