Yes its a putt putt car but the 1.6 is still good for 82horse and 110+ indicated mph

Just picked this one up for the dirt roads and backtrails

1978 Honda GL1000. Given to me by my dad about 1 month before he committed suicide. First pic is how she sat when I brought her home. Had been under about 10 inches of snow sitting in his front yard. Front fairing main mount was broken, as was one side of the trunk mount. Swapped the bags out for a vintage set of Bates, ruptured rear air shocks were replaced with a nice clean set from a CB750, headlight is the stock unit from an 81 kz650 CSR, front turn signals are stock from a CL360, seat is from a Honda CM185T (fit with very little modification to brackets). Had to rebuild the front calipers and replace a plugged fuel tank. Total investment, including plates, just under $200.




Not quite finished yet. Still have to paint the bags, I'm thinking a satin black, and ceramic coat the rusty/blued exhaust.

Nice bike. I don't think I've ever seen a wing look so trim.
