Cool but it was not the same thing. Not the same cool dude (Virgil Hilts, Josh Randal, Det. Bullitt, Jake Holman, Vin, Papillon, Nevada Smith or Doc McCoy). Not the same angle either. Nice bike too.

I recieved an invitation after his death to an auction for his collection. Have no idea why, unless my searches for Ariel or Matchless parts might have indiacated i was a collector. wish I'd gone. G

Just got an 82 KZ 1100, working to fix it up as my first bike.

I believe I was the one to coin the phrase. "Fence Bike" as I just bought mine 2 weeks ago after I found it leaning up against a fence. See my posts.
