KZ rebuild,20 years apart was created by tullymars
My two kz's I built them twenty years apart
this I built out of a 74 z1,and 79 ltd,1045 kitbuilt in 1987

my 1976 kz900 ltd,1075 with all the goodies,built in 2007

Nice job on both bikes. Do you by any chance have a paint color code for the 76 900 LTD? That looks to be a dead on match to the stock color.

No,I have no code I had to change my tank because of a little accident I had,so I matched it off the old paint.Its real close though,its three stage candy apple red,and the basecoat is a fine gold metallic

How do u like the RS34's on the 1045cc 79ltd?
I see some port work there too, i'd say. what cams did u use?

76 KZ, frame gusset work,1200CC.Ported by Larry Cavanaugh, 1.5mm.over intakes, Carron Pipe, ZRX12 rear end, and seat,96zx9 front end.

The ltd is a 76 900 ltd,with a 1015 block and a 1075 kit .410 cams,very good port job,I spent over $800 on the head.The 34's work well,I never have got them dialed in to my satisfaction,but Im oooo soooo close.Im not use to deain with accelerator pumps

I use them too.the pump is what sets them apart.if i disconect the pump they bog like my vm33's.
What simptoms are u haveing that makes them not quite right?
