this thread got me stuck on the triple bug again so i went to a junkyard about 100 miles from my home this weekend and was amazed to see about 5 yamaha r5's and a few triples barely poking out of the snow. Went and checked them out and there were a couple s3's and 3 h1's. Definately interested in the h1's even though they are very rough looking.

i had a friend who could go fast on anything and he had in his stable a little s3 350 triple...did the burnout contest a seca even once on it and got in a magazine...we'd all go on rides and that little triple would catch up sometimes like a horsefly ...totaly funny watching it get way deep in a corner...he had to ride ten times harder to keep with folks and it was a great little bike...i rode it once...he cuaght up to me and yelled to quit engine braking into corners ....i did not know and was trying to seize it probably...really funny stuff....i'd get one just cuase they are so anti superbike cool and all retro tech simple the 350 is one of the coolest bikes...imo.....

Bro had a GT750 Buffalo and a GT380. I rode the 750 quite a bit. Love the bubbling - wailing sound! Power band was just like a rubber band. Suki was heavy in front. I cannot imagine a light front end like the Kaw's with that power band. :whistle:
