OMR that plug looks rich to me.

Yup.... My Keihin CR Specials came with the pilots out 1 full turn.

In review of the plugs (all 4 cylinders the same) I have now backed the pilots out an additional 1/2 turn.... Keeping an eye on the plugs....

I'd rather be Rich then Lean until I get everything all dialed in for optimizations. ;) SO being very careful with this for now....

Have Morgan Carb-Tune unit on the way from England as we speak.... Should be here by end of the week.... Once I get the carbs synched to perfection then I will work on the pilots for tighter adjustments (idle response, rich/lean.) Then onto Jetting!

I started a posting on the Keihin synch/jet adjusting and once all is completed, I will put together a little tutorial on it...

I think mine turned blue from being too rich instead of too lean. Does that make sense? The carbs were really rich...

Does it have air injection for the exhaust? If so, then when you run rich you should get more heat in the exhaust once the air is introduced because it would have more raw fuel to burn.

All of the smog items are long gone. Brand new carbs weren't very close to where they should have been and were WAY out of synch. I was just getting things closer to being dialed in and the snow started to fly.

OMR - definitely keep us updated - and include lots of pictures! My plugs look as bad or worse than yours. I don't think it would have even been running except I have an MSD ignition that burns just about anything! There's no reason my poor plugs shouldn't have been fouled. How hard would it be to go with EFI?
