Terry didn't run the Top Fuel bike too long. He said it scared the hell out of him. Byron Hines (mechanic and partner) always called the pistons his soldiers. When the motor blew, he just sent more soldiers into battle! It was after the top fuel bike that he went to NHRA and talked them into making Pro-Stock Bike the showcase clas for bikes instead of topfuel that NHRA had at most national events up to that time.

1980 LTD (changed over the years), 1979 LTD (being rebuilt), 1977 KZ turbo and various KZ's in various states of build. KLX110

that fuel bike was a hand full, one of the main reasons was that they had been having problems blowing up cases so byron got suzuki to cast there cases in cast iron instead of alloy so they would have more strength and wouldn't flex because of the amount of nitro they where trying to put thru the engine, but the cases where so heavy it changed the center of gravity and turned the bike into an evil handling pig.

I have seen it in a couple of places online. Can't remember where I found it. I want to say there was some writing or an article. I have collected so many pics, who knows? When I found it, I used photoshop to clean it up alittle.
