The main difference is the master cylinder for the rear disk. The battery can't slide out from the right side as it does on the A4. Thus, there is no bracket on the right side which also allows mount of the side cover. There is a closed box which keeps the battery in place by use of a rubber strap over the top. I believe that the junction box for the electrics on the left side is the same and that the regulator mounts to the bottom of the battery box on either bike. The A4 has a plastic box that the battery fits into that goes in the metal box. Not sure about the LTD having a plastic box; just can't recall. None of the pics show the reserve lighting gizmo that sits over on the right side of the battery box... the comb shaped gizmo and the extra flasher. I am not sure these will be mounted the same for an A4 (that is where they mount on the A4) and the LTD.

This is to clarify info about the separate part which incorporates the lower side cover grommet and attaches with two screws to hold the battery in position on 1976 KZ900-B1 LTD.
Good Luck!
