... parts missing... right side shot would be very helpful....
This shows under right side cover of 1976 KZ900-B1 LTD. Don't know about any differences from the standard model.
The battery pushes in from the right side into the battery box.
A separate part (which incorporates the lower side cover grommet) attaches with two screws to hold the battery in position (and provide the grommet).

The part earlier referred to as "Ignore" is a plug wire holder clip added there to hook the bungee.
