Wheelie bars on the street?

I was wondering if in the state of illinois it is legal or ilegal to run wheelie bars on the street? I was just wondering, because i am buying a set for the 900, and it would be awsome to cruise to the bike shows with a wheelie bars on the back. Is there a website that might have this info? Thanks jim.

if you set em up where you can actually go around a corner they will be too high to do you much good anyway other than preventing a complete backflip, you dont need em with that little motor.;)

I don't know for a fact that they are legal in the State of Illinois (since I live in Indiana), but it would surprise me to learn that they are.

Ask a local cop, he/she might know.

Don't stop there! Hook up a drag race parachute on the back of your bike also; you'll really get folks wondering what tricks you've done to the engine.

Wheelie bars, huge nos bottle hanging off the side of the bike, parachute and the old spark plug in the exhaust trick. Chicks will dig it :)

I guess this was a dumb question, huh guy's? The bike will spend a fair time at the track this summer is why the wheelie bars are going on, then next winter im building the motor up to a 1075, so im sure i will need them then..........lol. The fact im running it at the track, i want the wheelie bars, because everytime i launch the bike, the front end wonders up 3 or 4 feet..

Lol, craig your to funny......lol. The spark plug in the exhaust is an old hot rodder trick i beliver, you run a wire to a spark plug that is screwed into the exhaust, and when the cylinder fires it makes a huge ass flame out the back, at least i think thats how it's done, not completley sure?    :silly: . It looks awsome at nite when there is a huge flame out the pipe.....    , i bet you people wouldnt tailgate you to save there life..........lmfao:laugh: :) :cheer: :silly: :woohoo: :side: :woohoo: :silly:
