Yep, if it's done with a certain type of bomb, the EMP (electro-magnetic pulse) will fry all your semiconductors unless they're adequately shielded. I believe the EMP thing is called the Compton Effect, IIRC. Apparently the bomb has to be exploded very high in the atmosphere for this effect to work properly.
A couple of decades ago the US military laughed at the "electronics" in a lot of Soviet military vehicles, planes, ships, etc that used vacuum tube technology. They stopped laughing when informed about the EMP thing and realized that THEIR fancy semiconductor-based electronics WEREN'T shielded at all.
Vacuum tubes, of course, are not affected by EMP.....;)

Agreed. Keep your sticky fingers off the KZs, there're only so many to go around.

This KZ rider will be burning something in the combustion chambers. A line must be drawn.

I think it's hilarious that special interest groups are on a collision course. The environmentalists want electric vehicles not only for "climate change" but for their quiet operation. Meanwhile, advocates for the blind are saying that electric vehicles are too quiet and must be made noisy for the safety of blind pedestrians. Something's gotta give!
