i agree, electric has no soul compared to our gas motors but remember no gas means no trucks, unless its a diesel? but given the choice of never being on a bike again or an electric alternative? ill take the electric and play zz-top in my i-pod i guess?ha.

i have worked in the oilfield in canada and the us for years and i can tell you with some certainty that we definitly wont be running out of oil anytime soon the only reason that gas prices are and have been as high as they have been is due to greed pure and simple. i have been to places the oil is literally soaked in the ground and they haven't even scratched the surface of that supply yet so i don't really see the need to give up the machines we all love to ride.

Hell I'll rock an electric bike when the time comes. No soul? That's probably what they said when they went from horses to steam powered stuff, and again from steam to gas. And they were right, then, too. The times they are achaaaanging...
My need for speed will eventually conquer my penchant for vehicular nostalgia.

I'll keep my bike, just out of sentiment. Besides, if I get real desperate I'll see if there is a way to homebrew "bio-gas" for it. I've heard there processes, just not sure if there is a DIY kit for the home hobbiest/KZ owner.

where there is a will, there is a way...remember when cars started sporting computers?....everyone thought that was the end of modding cars and look what you can do now....yeah, it wont be the same,
but we will adjust....plus by the time that tech is mainstream, we will all be drooling on ourselves and chasing the candystripers in our wheelchairs....lol....
