Wow! That looks awesome! How do you think it would match up against the current sportbikes you can buy? Maybe compared to a RC51? Is there any specs posted online?
Wonder what it would cost to build one. Looks like it has a 190 or 200 on the rear. Sweet!

cynl thats a cool point(match it up against a modern sp bike) and some guys would answer right away and be sure of the winner....equal tires and good tunning on a track i'm not so sure..probably an rc-51 by ten seconds i'd guess....i would like to see a comparison in a mag with some equally matched era race bikes and modern rockets....
years back i think in 1986 when the fz750 and gsxr 750 were just out a while... cycle world(i think) did an article at willow springs with a ex-kenny roberts tz 750,and wes cooleys pops yoshimura suzuki gs1000....it was a fun article....it would be cool to see em do one again.....notice the front forks/steering angle all stretched forward on the kr500.....coolio

I agree that would be a great article. Or maybe even a special issue.
I'd love to ride one were they just gp bikes? Not available to the public?
Bluemeanie, what bike/year is that?

From the "takes a lot of guts" department: Here's a piece on the Kenny Roberts TZ750 engined flat-tracker. Picture riding a dirt track frame with a TZ750 engine tuned down to a mere 125 HP hitting 150MPH on a flat track!
