One of my favourite MKll superbikes- Reuben bought this one from my old friend Bill Davidson, later sold it to finance his ELR S1R purchase.Got to ride it once ( on the street )The bike went to Calgary and never heard from again...

This cought my eye. Notice the 4 coils mounted under the triple trees. I assume they are out there so the air can cool them off. Were they running dual plugs or did they have 4 coils to eliminate any misfire?

most the builders in the know did there race heads up with dual plugs because of the compression they were running

it was kawasakis grand prix bike or todays motogp equal....500cc if you look under the photo in the link(might have to scroll down)you will see the bikes explanations.....cnyl wrote:

A square 4 has the 4 cylinders positioned like a square, one in each corner.
All 4 pistons move straight up and down to two separate crackshafts I think, unlike a V4 engine where the cylinders are in the V shape sharing one crank.
