Schwing.... Look at that monster..... Beautiful isn't she...

You just have to love those magnificent machines. Even back then and compared to todays technical advancements, she's a killer. Look at her prowess, just sitting there silently, waiting to pounce and attack.

Any specifications (motor, cams, carbs etc...) on that bike?

Thanks for sharing,

Beautiful! I'm moving this thread to Bike Related to save it.

So good Russ Collins sponsored him the next season to challenge Byron Hines on a Kawasaki. Vance was good but Byron won a whole bunch more races than Terry ever did.

Have that same picture from damn near the same angle I took up in Union Grove in Wisconsin at an IDBA race, I think. That bike always sounded like it was screaming compared to all the other bikes. Was told he ran smaller motors on kill while the other racers always went with the bike cc motors. It has a stock block and uses the kick starter also. Remember someone told me he was running a 1075 motor while the other racers were using either 1132cc (very popular) or 1170cc. He spent all his time in the head while others used cc's to get them there. Seen him hand it to Vance out at Edgewater Park in Cincinnati the next year. Guy knew what he was doing, that's for sure. There is a Carpenters Racing, somewhere in Pennslyvania I think. Wonder if that is him? Anybody know?
