Is there a 4-into-1 header available for the police bikes? Is there a bolt on 2-up seat replacement available?
Thanks!

i don't know about the seat but any of the readily avalible headers will fit you just might have to modify things like mounts. to get it to work proper. as far as the seat what style is he looking for. i haven't got any experiance with the cop bikes as far as seats go but the haeders all mount up pretty much the same. kerker, vance+hines, supertrapp, and the really cheap mac.
So the 1996 head is still the same as the 1981 "J" bikes? I wasn't sure about that. I'm also wondering if the header will clear the floor boards and the mounts for the rear bags.
He just wants a regular 2-person seat instead of the solo saddle. I've seen a lot of custom seats but don't know if they make one specifically for it.
I've owned a whole bunch of different KZ's over the years, but never a police bike. They sure seem very popular though.

The header situation is taken care of, but the seat issue has us stumped. He wants a regular king and queen seat but we've had no luck. I did find a place that sells custom passenger pads but the prices are ridiculous.
Is there a certain year / style seat that might be more easily adaptable? If we can find something close I'm sure we can mod it and / or weld new hinges or whatever. Just not sure where to start. Any ideas??
Thanks

Another thing you have to consider is the passenger footpegs. I just welded some slugs to the frame and installed aftermarket pegs on there.

My friend is working on his police bike again now that the weather has FINALLY broken here in OH so I thought I'd bring this old thread back to life...

What exhaust system did your friend use on his KZP Police bike? I have a 1995 KZP 1000 Police bike and I'm looking for a 4 into 1 exhaust system for it. Thanks for any help.
