Broke down and bought a new bike

I've pretty much concluded that I really don't have the set up nor the push to wrench on these old bikes. Larger chunks of money at a time seem to allude me and the search for parts is often frustrating to me. I do admire and appreciate those who can make that happen for themselves and share in the affection for these old machines. I can't seem to find the time to work on them as I would like to. And, ultimately, what I want to do is ride.
I've been looking at and studying the newer bikes that are available that fit my style and the kind of riding I like to do. Mostly for the practical commuting, but also for some pleasure riding and short trips.
So... after about two years of the "fever", I boiled it down to basically three bikes: the Versys, the FZ6 and the GSX650F. The latter one is the one I've gone with. Signed my life away after closing hours and will be piccking it up on Monday.
I hope I haven't done like the guy at the lumber yard said to me years ago; "Ah seen people pick through a whole stack of boards and still manage to pick out the crookedest ones."
I know some of you have experience with some of these newer bikes and any comments, good or bad, are welcome.
Of course I'll still be back here as often as I can. I really enjoy reading the posts and much appreciate the overall tone of this site.
As far as my projects go, I'll try to sell all of it to put the money toward my easy-way-out bike.

Got to keep a old bike around though. Maybe i'll get antique plates for it so the insurance won't be so high.
I really want the ZX. Roy;)

Please tell us you're at least keeping an old KZ around... Even if you're not working on her, not leaving her out in the heat/cold only to rust away, we'll still respect that.
Please by all means, don't tell us later on after riding this new bike for awhile on how much better it is than an old KZ, for then we will have to hunt you down for an exorcism...
One thing for sure, based on the ergo's, bet your back will be sore on a 3 hour ride on that thing.
Ride safe and still drop in time to time...

The GSX650F has more of an upright seating position than the R model IIRC. Looks to be a nice bike.
I'd be looking at a newer upright seated position bike myself if I could afford it.
A ZRX would be my ultimate ride.

The new water cooled and fuel injected engines have been raved about by all who own them, torque being their long suit.
Definitely keep picking away at your old KZ project bike.
I know I'll never part with my KZ650. It's wayyyyyyy too much fun too ride.
Enjoy your new Suzook!!!
