Wanna build a bobber was created by oldkaws4ever
I dont know when i will get around to doing it, but i wanna build a flat black bobber. I wanna chop the frame, spring seat, ape hangers, and of course loud pipes. I dunno what bike would be a good platform to go off of. I was leaning toward a twin of some sort. I might even go with a honda aor suzuki or yamaha, since i couldnt do it to a kawi. I have seen a coulpe yamaha 650 twins for cheap that would look cool bobbed out. Any ideas guy's? I dunno maby it's cause i cant sleep, but this idea kind of just popped into my head. Thanks Jim.

V45 would be one scary fast chopper. I would go with an xs chop. They are probably the most popular jap chops and there is probably a reason for it. And it wouldnt be a shame to see one cut up.

Ya i was thinking yamaha xs twin chop. I have seen a few and they look cool chopped. Plus there are so many bolt on chopper and bobber parts for it. Hell cutting one up might make it look better that it did new:P :P :P :P :woohoo:

Wow Locozuna, a wing chop. That is actually pretty cool looking. that might be another possibility.

Before I get more confused than I already am. Everyone seems to be throwing around bobbing and chopping as the same thing. I don't see it as that. I might be wrong. But I always thought bobbing kept the original geometry but was merely a style change with no or shortened rear fender , no or short front fender, solo seat and well either apes or actually any handlebar style you like. Now a chop or chopper involved chopping the frame and changing the head angle. It could also involve extended or shortened front end and usually a beefy rear tire. It usually put the front end up and rear end down. Calling a bobber a chop just doesn't seem right. Correct me or confirm me please. My view of reality rests in your hands.

Im sory for any confusion. I belive bobbing to be, factory rake, no or short front and rear fender, solo seat. Ya a chopper is lenthinig the front end tall in the front and low in the back.
I however was talking about chopping the frame, meaning taking off all the useless factory stuff you dont really need.

Sorry for the confusion if there was any.

So heres the plan. You've got me interested, so I'm going to build a bobber and get it road legal for under $500 just using know-how and random crap I already have lying around.
