I know all us old timers fully support education, it's the only way any longer... Study hard and finish at the top of your class, all joking aside, this is a must.
Hopefully they'll also include a technical writing class. I see this everyday in e-mails and memo's where the format, punctuation and grammar is horrendous. And this was written by business professionals with bachelor and in some case's master degrees. Seriously, I've tried to read e-mails that were just rambling thoughts and made absolutely no sense what so ever.
When I receive such e-mails, I just delete them. I won't waste my time with them.
BTW.... Hurry up and graduate so you can educate us on how to fix these old girls up!
Way to go!

I blame the keyboard, ever since I started using one I cant seem to spell or place punctuation correctly....its hard to clarify but if I write with a pencil I am confident that my spelling will be correct, not so with the keyboard

O4E, if MMI doesn't provide technical writing courses, seek out a community college and take them there. Yes, it's tedious, but it pays great dividends.
BTW, congrats on your opportunity. Study hard and work hard and the world will be your oyster even in down economic times. Some of the greatest fortunes were started during an economic downturn. "Do something you love and you'll never work a day in your life!"

That's really a great opportunity. How long does this Kawasaki course last and what's the tuition?

I belive the course lasts a year. Im not sure about the tuition, He is gonna call me next week with more details.
I looked into it about 5 years ago and the tuition was 12K back then. I had to pay support so it kinda slowed me down on what I want to do. But now my brother is moving to Orlando so housing is taken care of now I just need a job and 12K. It is a heavy duty course 5 hours a day 5 days a week for about a year and a half depending on what you want to take. But I think it's worth it if you open your own shop. (They have classes for that also)

Has anyone else gone to MMI in Phoenix or in Orlando? I'm thinking of going and would really like some input that someone isn't paid to give me.
