Can get a helluva deal for a close to showroom condition, only 6500KMs on the clock. Tried it, got it home. Just wondering if any of you have any experiences on this bike?

Thanks

A few years ago I had a real serious look at a ZR750. Very very nice bike. Air cooled 750 engine very very similar to my old beast but of course 20+ years newer:laugh: I was very tempted as I knew I could maintain it and it was not classed as a "sportsbike" so the insurance would have been reasonable. I did find some excellent reviews but ultimately passed on it as I had other committments.

Like steel said - show us a picture.

They are not particularly good looking if you're into KZs. Kind of like the Z1000 of late. Probably work just fine if you like modern enhancements like the all so sought after sloped seat with no padding. The cosmetics leave a lot to be desired, as well as the every day workhorse type of bike the KZs are is all lost on the new Zs.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

here's a picture. I think its got that familly resemblance with the KZ, at least I think! Some 25 years younger! My Significant Other seems to think that there is no fun in a broken down motorcycle, even though its a classic! So I might get her to enjoy riding more on this.

Near crotch rocket performance, with the good looks of a naked bike. Plus its the same color as my KZ, so were on the right track! :)

That looks pretty nice. I was thinking of another model I guess.

Lol! I hear ya! Don't worry, I work for the Feds, I can get my hands on some pretty good stuff!;)

(If anyone is filtering my computer, this comment was meant to be a joke.)

But come to think of it, it does look like a Transformer kinda bike... Hmmm, I like it even more now! Bit, if you compare the 2, they have 2 wheels, and controls, pegs, lights, license plate holder.... so they kinda look aloke no?! :)

I'll reflect over this over the weekend... Maybe they do not look alike after all!

The only "problem" is that Kawasaki only brought it here for a couple of years and then dropped it. They seem to do that a lot, bring in a new model, don't advertise it, and then decide that no one wants that style of bike and drops it from the lineup. Meanwhile there are a dozen cruisers to choose from.

I really wnated to like the Z750s and hoped it would stick around. I think that if they had softened the styling some and given it more of a KZ look, it would have sold well and would still be in the lineup.

In France, Germany and the Netherlands the Z750 is quite popular: good performance both in horsepower and handling, maintenance cost is supposed to be low, and fuel mileage really good. They did a long-term test in a French magazine to check what people thought of it after some two years of ownership. The (relatively) low operating cost and the fun of riding one were a constant in the reader reports. Haven't tried one myself though, I think they look a bit bland...prefer a good old Z1000
