77 and 78 KZ1000s will still bring good money. Nothing wrong with them. They made a lot of them, maybe that's part of the problem, plus like all the rest, the owners could not leave well enough alone. Most were either modified for performance, or turned into a Goldwing. There was an immaculate one on ebay last year that I believe was bid up around $8000 if memory serves. There are just so many ugly KZ1000s, just look on ebay, and everyone thinks they are worth $5000. Plus with the introduction of the LTDs all was ruined. Sorry but no LTD is worth big money, and theres still a gazillion 1000LTDs out there, and only a handful of decent ones, yet everyone thinks they are worth $5000. Afraid not. The 77-78 KZ1000A would still probably rank as one of the most desirable of the KZ line, of course behind the MKII, Z1R and ELR.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.
