Well I got it picked up and carted over to the new house today. As luck would have it there is an NFL sized young guy that I've been helping out with a 74 Honda CB750 who happened to show up at the house today and I roped him into helping me move this BMF. I'm just guessing, but judging by the gold teeth and the ink on his arms I'd have to say the big muscles were most likely aquired thanks to the department of corrections. I told him I thought it weighed about 300 pounds and asked him if he thought the two of us could move it by ourselves. His comment was "shoot I can bench 350" anyway it is now in the garage and I would like to get it down the basement but if that looks like it will be too much of a PITA I suppose I can just run a 220 line out to the garage. Here is a pic of the BMF.

if you're going to be using the basement to spend a lot of time in, you'll prefer it out in the garage so it won't be bothering you in the cave when it runs. you can always hard pipe a line into the basement shop and use a QD fitting like at the factory.

Two points:

(1) use a flexible line between the compressor and the hard line.

(2) Do not, under any circumstances, use PVC pipe for air lines.

Also if you keep it in the garage, get an inline moisture remover thinggy. Your tools will thank you for it. :) BTW I got a bunch of air tools from Wally World a couple of years ago. They are Cambell Housefield or whatever. They are good for light duty stuff and I have never had a problem with them and they are pretty cheap. I thought I would just replace them as they broke but they are hanging in there. Shoot you can spend $500 for a high end impact gun or $30 for one that has worked for everything that I have thrown at it. And don't forget to drain it very couple of days.
