I was planning on offering her $350.00 to see if she'd bite but there was some schmuck there looking at some other stuff and then he came over and started making noises like he wanted to buy the compressor. The seller said well then it would go to whomever was willing to pay the most, to which this schmuck says "you mean bid? oh no way I'll only go $400.00" so right away I saw how to get rid of this moron. I reached in my pocket pulled out 4 hundreds and then another twenty handing it to the seller and telling her "here's $420.00" at which point the schmuck left in a huff. As much as I like a bargain sometimes it don't pay to be a cheapskate. I will now have all the air I need to run anything I want and at a price that I'd expect to pay for a decent portable compressor.

But this deal is getting better all the time. Last week I bought a box of tools from the guys who are re-habbing the house next door to me. I saw the box sitting there, (it had been left by the original owner of the house) and asked the guys who had claimed it? The guy that grabbed it sold it to me for $5.00. When I bought it I thought the box was empty but as it turned out it had a bunch of ratchets and extensions as well as a 3/8 drive butterfly impact .
I also have another deal working with a guy that belongs to our country club. He wants me to buy his riding lawnmower, a snowblower as well as a box containing a 3/8" pistol grip impact, a 1/2" impact as well as a die grinder. He agreed to sell me all this stuff for $400.00. Today he appeared at the club and told me he was digging around and found an air buffer as well as a brand new spray gun that he is going to include for the same price. I'm planning to buy a bead blast cabinet at some point in the future, probably a sand blaster and I'd also like to get my hands on a motorcycle lift.
Things are looking real good on buying my mom's house, we met with my attorney on Sunday night and we basicaly have a deal worked out. This house has around 1200 SF of basement so I'm planning on setting up a bike shop/Man cave deluxe down there. It will be real nice to be able to work on a bike without being bothered by every "hood rat" in town wanting to bend my ear about my bikes. It would be one thing if they had any money but when you are walking down the street with one 22 oz beer in a paper bag and one cigarette stuck behind your ear it doesn't make me think you are too serious. I mean if you can't afford to buy a whole pack of smokes and a 6 pack of beer why do I want to waste time talking to you about buying one of my bikes?
