Took me a second to understand the reason for the frequent references to the Israeli police.

Ouch! Its a good thing he was at least wearing a helmet. I know there are a lot of riders that don't like to wear helmets but i just don't understand it. It don't take much to hurt the head so why not try to protect it a little more with a helmet.

I have never gotten road rash but i bet it hurts really bad!

This will sound bad but I got some major RR on my back and arms in my accident last August and it's not too bad, Maybe because my shattered left leg hurt more, and I was living on 750mg Vicodine everyday for a month?

At hospitals, they will actually scour the road rash to remove dirt and make it bleed more to ensure the dirt is out of the rash.

I mean as if the original scrape was not bad enough.

I hope that I never go down, I still remember how bad my scrapped knee hurt when I duffed on my mountian bike as a kid.

When riding my dirtbike some years ago i was braking in some big whoops while coming into a sharp left turn and ended up going over the bars and the bike landed on me. Well, thats normally not that big of deal most of the time but this time when the bike landed on me my hand was caught between the swingarm and the tire. The bike was still running and turning the rear wheel. :S By the time it was over the tire had ripped my motox riding glove to shreds! I still have the scars from where the knobs peeled the skin off my hand.

And like KR said, the doctor scrubbed it with a gauze pad soaked in peroxide until it bled. He told me i had to do this everyday:blink: until it was healed. And that was just a 3 inch area on the back of my hand. I can't imagine having that down half your body!!

I've only had a small fall before, locking the front on an unfamiliar bike in a parking lot and wouldn't you know it...the bike went straight to the ground.

I just had some minor scrapes and it's true, they didn't hurt much but I shudder to think what'll happen if I can't get out of the way when that Hummer tries to merge me out of existence on the freeway. I keep thinking back on those pictures of the "Road Rash Queen" .

Makes my skin crawl and my fingers and toes curl. *shudder*
