It's in Olathe (suburb of KC, in Johnson Co., KS) probably about three hours from BK. I think he's in Salina.

I've seen far worse. I hope somebody gets it and rides it like it deserves.

That looks pretty decent for the price. I just have never understood why people can't take an hour or so to do a little cleaning on items like that.   It seems to me it would bring in more bits.

Now, now John, that's a genuine Kawasaki LTD seat from their accessory catalog. I like em, in fact I looked for one for a while and then ended up with 2 of em. They are a lot more comfy than the ironing board that comes stock.

I hear you, if that bike were about 2 or 3 states closer I'd be all over that. Bad Kaw are you out there?

It's hard to say if the seat is genuine Kawasaki. I doubt it. The LTD seat was a common swap on KZ1000s, but on a 650 I don't remember Kawasaki offering a LTD seat option. I'll agree with bluemeanie though on that seat. :X Better than a king/queen bucket POS though :) I'll have to go out on a limb and say "all" aftermarket seats are fugley.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

Fugly or not, I'm considering getting a similar seat kit from JC Whitney. I have an NOS seat for the B1, so I'm considering using the seat pan of the original seat with the kit just for something different.

Seats are another subject that I'm nearly as opinionated on as repaints so you get the idea. A LTD seat is not 1/10 as comfortable on a long ride as the stock hard flat seat is. Maybe an LTD seat is more comfortable on a ride 30 miles around because it's soft, but try it on a trip you'll wish for a flat seat regardless of how hard it is. I did all those trips on a stock KZ1000MKII seat and all the miles on a 650 with the stock seat too. Ridden and owned plenty of others with "different" seats. I'll call them "different" instead of the correct word that would have to be bleeped out. Different like Yamaha FJ1200, Kawasaki Concours, BMW R1200GS (one second sitting on that thing was all it took, so saved $14000 instantly thanks to worthless seat, no purchase). KZ900LTD, ect. Sure a guy can buy a Corbin seat, but talk about Fugly with a capital F, no way.

Ron, I agree with you 100%!! Both double bucket (or any bucket) and King Queen seats should be thrown in the trash! I tried a double bucket seat one time, and that was one time to many.

I feel pretty much the same way about LTD's, I don't see how anyone can ride one for any length of time (at least not stock).
