So, to sum up yesterdays fun, the 650 now has compression, good spark in the cylinders, and starts building power at about 7500 RPMs
I'm running 29's with 120 main jets, 15 pilots, large oval pods, and a Kerker (old) pipe.
I missed my performance more than I realized!

I sent 6 hours cleaning the carb, rebuilding the petcock, and cleaning it up. I go for a 2 minute ride to see how the carbs need to be tuned during which I drop the bike in some gravel because I'm an idiot. Now there is some ground problem and I'm blowing my main fuse near instantly upon key-turn.
I think my bike is angry about something.

I know exactly how you feel. Abbie's LTD 650 is having he same fuse problem. The guy I got it from had lais a piece of solder between the two metal ends of a blown fuse. Now THAT will solve the problem!!! He also used electrical tape to hold the half-round clips to the exhause pipes to make it easier to put them into the head.
