Andy, you are really starting to tick me off! HA!
It's like you need an intervention or something. What's it cost to ship a bike from OH to CA?
Tim does that mean I'm no longer your hero? Jeeze I buy 2 more bikes and I go from hero to zero, doesn't seem quite fair. I would guess that it would cost at least $500.00 to ship a bike from Oh to Cali. I forgot that you've been looking for another 900 to match your LTD.
Here is a closer shot of the engine. Goober managed to rash the dyno cover a little bit. I did fix the split gasline this morning and fired it up using a jump battery. Started right up and sounded pretty good. Even the stupid turn signal beeper still works. I think the low beam for the headlight is toast though.

I live in Chicago and had the kaw in my display pic sent along with a big box of parts for 440 through uship.comAndy, you are really starting to tick me off! HA!

Gotta take pics of her she looks great cleaned up. I have about 20 pics up on photobucket.com if you look for saxjonz you can see them or a few pics here in the gallery. 6k and all of the chrome looks new sidecovers, tank and tail fin match and look great. Tires are new, even came with cover, luggage rack, and new progressive springs to put in when the seals go bad. She doesn't even smoke one iota. It even came with the original pipes which look like brand new must've been taken off the bike with few miles on it. 1200 for the bike and I know that gringo probably got those two for say 500 or so. I just feel it. At any rate I am really happy with my find.
There was another ltd1000 northern cali looked in good shape here on classifieds for awhile. dirtmagnit@hotmail.com he was selling his for around 18 when I emailed him. Nice corbin seat. moriwacki or whatever side cover fork brace and geared with some extras. Looked really nice from pic with good tires metzlers nice and clean. Just look around there are deals every where you just gotta put your head down to the ground and listen to hear them approaching. Cali people it seems to me are always into the new things in life so it should't be too hard to find something there if you are actively looking.
But of course I bet you were only interested in the brown kaw and not the ltd.

No, you're STILL my hero. Goes without saying. I show the warden your posts when she says I don't need another bike. After looking at your stable, she tends to agree that one or two more might be OK.Tim does that mean I'm no longer your hero? Jeeze I buy 2 more bikes and I go from hero to zero, doesn't seem quite fair. Tim, I'm glad that I'm good for something. I still make a good bad example. I still haven't told my wife that I bought 2 more. I don't think I will either, everytime I tell her I bought something it seems to trigger her to go on a shopping spree with the Visa card I sent her. I think she's under the impression that I only have ten bikes. What she don't know can't cost me money.
I spent the day yesterday messing with these 2 new bikes. I unstuck the carbs on the 1000 and checked the compression. Then I decided to fix the little bit of damage Goober did to the fork ear and the speedo cover since I had some parts here that fit. I still need to find a ground collar that I know I have in a box here somewhere.:S I also replaced the plugs with a used set to replace the 3 Bosch car plugs that he had installed. The bike sounds really good and the more I look at it, the more I'm convinced this thing has never even had the cam cover taken off. It seems like the pilots are a bit dirty but I don't think I want to mess with them. My thinking is that whomever buys this at Mid-Ohio will be just as happy with the bike in an untouched state.
Here is a pic of Goober's damage prior to me fixing it.
