I was thinking $2500 too, but I guess not. I don't remember the exact price in 82 but they were in the neighborhood of $3800-$3900, then late 82 Kawasaki had their $1 a CC rebate, you could take $1000 off the KZ1000 so I'm sure quite a few were bought for $2800 brand new.

I thought I'd update this thread, the bike got sniped for $5600.00 with 7 seconds left. The buyer was here in the US and judging from his recent ebay purchases he looks to be a dealer in used vintage bikes. That or he is more heavily addicted to old Kaws than I am. Steell gets the prize for guessing the selling price.
