Yep, just when you think you've seen it all (and I been in and out of the bike biz since 1972) some muppet comes along with a new wrinkle. The breadth and depth of human stupidity is truly astounding !!!

Well, duh! The bolts hold those two fancy metal strips (you know, the ones with edges turned up against the bolt heads) in place! :unsure: :S :dry:
