Nope, I lost all my Whitworth tools and my Norton manuals when my home burnt to the ground several years ago, along with all my Trophies, Medals, Certificates, Mementos,pictures, etc, from my years living in Europe

All that's left are the memories

the seat and rear tail shares a strong resemblence with the tails used on dunstall kawasaki/honda/suzuki bikes of the same era...

You really should take Kawtoy's advice and ask some questions on a Norton forum. Don't get me wrong it's really cool that you shared your find with all of us here (keeps the hope alive for all us other poor unlucky schmucks) but you will likely get better info and much faster if you ask people who really know these bikes. I'll bet if you post your pics and questions over at www.classicbikeforum.com/

I am a Norton expert and a willing to help you out. If you ship the bike and signed title to me I will examine it and let you know exactly what it is. If you don't hear back from me for a few years that just means I am working really hard researching your bike

The right side shift indicates that the latest year it could be is a 74. Probably an 850 Commando.

Thats a Yamaha XS650 front fork/wheel/brakes. Still a good deal for a gocart and $200!
