!! found a Norton!! PICS POSTED!!!

finally something good motorcycle related has happend to me.

a coworker said his mom had an old crotchrocket in her shed, and he said it was a norton, i couldnbt belive him,luckly i was the first person he told.

he brought me to his/her house after work and when he opend the shed door i was suprised to find a timecapsle of a motorcycle, it was all cafed out, black, some sort of fairing resembling a rickman, has amal carbs on it, really cool handlebar set up on it, it has front discs, and avon tires that are still full of air, the bike turns over and looks like it has stock pipes the bike was last tabbed in 1980.

the tank has a black coating on the inside of it, are these aluminium tanks????!!!

and the rear tail and seat looke kinda familure....

simply put, yes it is valuable, most likely very valuable, but it now!

Congrats. Sounds like a beauty.

Nortons have great value no matter if original or not. So why would he call it a "crotch rocket". Nortons are a far cry from the plastic junk out there. How much are you getting the bike for. Yes we will all hate you if you get a killer deal on it.

the kid is as dumb as a rock, i'll feel bad but if i dont pick it up it will just go to waste.

i'm probably going to trade a gocart i got for free and 200$ for it. but we havent set a price yet.
i think once he hears the sled powerd cart fire up i'll have em hooked.

Get this done before Peter Egan catchs wind of it. He's been writing of his buying of old bikes in Cycle World of late.

Try not to giggle as you make the deal. And wait till you get home to stroke and caress every piece of that Brit beauty. Do not sell it either. I thought about selling my Triumph but then realized that I would never find another one for the price I paid so I kept it.

Sounds like maybe you stumbled across a Dunstall Norton. Buy it now you lucky Bass Turd. :whistle:

i dont know about you Ralphy boy,but the boys down at the sewer say jump on it!

Norton is as storied in racing history as some of the Italian bikes hands down no questions asked I would be shaking giving the kid the cash
