note to self don't remove the fork drain plugs without releasing the air first
Especially with 5 year old girl sitting 4 feet away in direct line with plug
She didn't say a word after being drenched with fork oil, she just turned her head and looked at me with a "what a dummy" look on her face
Wife didn't hesitate to speak when she saw her though

When changine the fork oil, never assume your friend put the block under the engine as he might have assumed you placed it there.
I removed one cap; no problem. I removed the second cap and the front end slammed down shooting the spacers and fork oil over the bike and into the deepest recesses of the garage.:pinch:

(First bike-cb-450 cafe. kicked for 15 minutes, tried bump-starting for another 30, thought I was gonna die. Got a ride home from work, had a friend come with me to look at the bike later, he just about died laughing at me for WEEKS!)

Note #2 to self: Make DAMN sure that the side stand is all the way forward against the stop BEFORE setting bike on it.
Note #3 to my buddy Paul: Disconnect battery ground FIRST....then disassemble top end AFTER. (Yes, it was messy AND expensive)

- Master of FREE rides!
Randy, next time you pull bike out of last riding season and winter seasonization, drain tank before filling with new gas. The WATER in the old fuel will make your carbs fill full of water and make the bike not run worth a shibbit!
Valves must be pretty steam cleaned by now though, just like the old airplanes water injection devices lol.
Randy, Change fuel lines also, or atleast make sure there isnt a bunch of crud from the fuel tank clogging them at the filter and fuel outlet of the petckock.

Next time when lubing the clutch and throttle cable by using the "oil in a bag and gravity" trick; overnight is plenty time judging by the amount of oil under the bike (the cables were still attached).:pinch:
The clutch and throttle control is great now!
