Well I can tell you that a friend and I with my '80 KZ650 and his '77 KZ650 tucked down and at 10,000 RPM's we were side by side going 128mph! Both stock except for Kerker's. So I would think that you should be in the 130's.

I was just wondering because I have highly modified mine. It is nowhere near stock. i got high compression pistons. i also changed the stock gearing from the rear wheel. I dropped down teeth on the rear wheel. I was hoping to get a higher top speed.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

I would think that with some extra horse power and the right gearing you could do 140+. But you would give up some serious bottom end.

155 in the quarter takes quite a few mods. That would be around the high 8s to low 9s time. Compare to low 12s stock.

the only motor mods I have done are high compression pistons. What else should I do? I cannot really justify boring out. I guess that is probably the best thing to do. I was going to port and, polish and, possibly cams. What eles would yall suggest? I have done a lot in weight reduction so I am sure that helpes me out. I huilt a 4 into 1 exhaust as well. I work on bikes for a licing but, I am building this as my first KZ. iwould like to optimize performance.
