Oh man I'd hate to inconvenience ANYONE like that but thank you so much for that offer its a great one! My bike didn't start anyhow, Im sure its electrical, so I just walked :p

In any case, I'll keep all this in mind if my bike ever does decide to start up given a rainy day.

Thanks all!

Hey, just glad you're okay!

In my book, bad weather is like gambling against the house, and the offer still stands. (any day!)

Just be safe above all else!

heheh, well i can relate to this thread on many levels.

When i lived in Toronto, i rode my bike to work one day - from Scarborough all the way to Brampton. It was a gorgeous autumn day... until my shift was over and I walked outside into drizzling rain.. which about half way home (actually right at the Labatt brewery on the 401) it turned into sleet and then ultimately snow.

By the time I got to the Port Union exit, I had a chunk of ice building on my seat!

All I can say is "Think Turtle" - slow and steady wins the race.. Do NOTHING that is sudden. You want to have at least an entire football field of space around you at all times. Warm gloves to prevent your fingers from freezing up from water/wind.
AVOID at all costs - over-passes where water suddenly turns to ice (Markham Road over-pass on the 401 was about as close to death as I've ever come on a motorcycle that day!).

On the plus side. I now live in Siloam Springs. You ain't far from me man - only two casinos between us LOL!

What do you do for work normally? What are yer skills man? I might have work for ya at my shop.

Stay safe. Stay off the road if it's the kind of weather you wouldn't normally want to walk in... It's supposed to be fun, not death-defying.

That's my $0.02 worth.
