the "dream" is no more(UPDATED 10/10) was created by dreamsofaz1r
I am about as happy as a person can get, I got to tell you guys. I just cant express in words how I feel. I mean it, today is one of my happiest days and I wanted to share it with the guys who would appreciate and like it the most. Other than Melvis(and Abilane)(who is my brother and got called first), Baron12(my cousin who I owe this too), and Creedmiller(where the bike came from), only my wife knows this info and I wanted to share it with all my KZ "friends".
Anyway, as my names says, a Z1R has always been the dream, well, tonite it IS a reality! I purchased Creedmiller's Z1R that is posted in the pic section, and while she needs many hours and many more dollars of work, I am TICKLED beyond all words. It looks like next spring I will be rolling out my Z1R to take around and show off. Look for me riding alsong side my brother and cousin with the wife on back. I will be the guy with the bugs in his teeth giggling everytime he looksa t his bike.
THANK YOU go all the KZrider.com guys for sharing their knowledge with all the rest of us. Thanks to Creedmiller for selling his baby to me, I PROMISE she will be WELL taken care of and will SHINE when she is finished(See Tangerine Dream in the project section) and feel free to take her for a ride when she is finished. We are only 15 miles apart and I know another bike is in the near future for you. Thanks to Melvis, and thanks to Melvis for all the help he will be giving me to get the Z1R on the road(He knows he will be over wrenching on it lol). And thanks to my cousin Gary(Baron12), for the Z1R. He is the owner of Tangerine Dream that I built for him. I asked for nothing to do it, and did it help a cousin and cause I like to work on them, and the Z1R is my "reward/thanks" for putting Tangerinedream together. WOW is all i can say. ALL of this and my birthday is in 2 days. Best Birthday present I ever got, I tell ya what is the truth. lol
Ok, I know I am WAYY over doing it but I am so excited I cant stand still. I will be up all night. I will get some pics tomorrow and will post pics as the bike goes along to the finishline. Thanks again kzrider.com, LOVE this site.

I tried to get a look at the bike in creedmiller's gallery, but I can't get the pic to load.... just a little red x.
But congrats on your new ride. Sounds like you're going to have fun this winter.

Small update all
I knew the bike had low compression in 2 of the cylinders when I got it. #2 and 3 is reading nothing. 120 on both 1 and 4. It has a kit in it and 8X Andrew Cams(Just some info that is odd. I went to their website to see what these cams are, and actually found out that a 8X cam is basically a 2.5X since the 8X lift and durations is the difference between their 2X and 3X.... isnt that a bit odd?) a polished and ported head, and a kit. I found out that the pistons are .040 over stock. What does this make the CC now(the bike also doesnt ahve the original top end as it has a early z1-900 top end on it, so the 40 over would be added to the 903 cylinder? Also found that thier is NO clearence on the valves on the exhaust valves for #2 and #3 cylinder.... HUMMMMMM could I get lucky and that be my low compression issues? Doubtful but one can hope. Anyway, I will get the bikes valves adjsuted over the weekend and see what happens as far as a compression test then. If that doesnt work, it will be the original idea of a valve job, which is what I had planned out.
BTW, does ANYONE have a dash for this bike? That is the only thing I REALLY need now as I have found the 2 pices of glass for the gauges, side covers, and windsreen already. I just need the dash, I have all the other rubber pieces.
I will get pics on tomorrow for sure and thanks for all the kind words.
