Ok guy's and gal's, it's time to make plans for another SoCal ride. How about the mountains this time. Meet at the Wrightwood exit on the 215. Go east past Lake Silverwood, then through Crestline, Rim of the World, and Arrowbear. Stop in BigBear for lunch, then return through BigBear city, down the hill to Mentone/Redlands and back to the 10 FRWY. From my place in Riverside this ride is about 260 miles long.
As for a date, how about Sat. June 23rd ?
R4 and I have done this ride before, lot's of twisties, good weather, the smell of the Pines, what's not to love?
So what do you think? Ideas, alternatives, dates? Let us know.

Oh boy!
I've been on that road up to Crestline in a cage, and it's pretty twisty. I want to go, so I'll say I'm in. Hope you and R4 don't mind waiting for me to catch up.

I think I've been on some of those roads. Sounds fun, count me in. Will be working on getting the Z1R running, so hopefully will be ready by then. If not, will be on my boy, Rex.

I'm going to try to have my bike ready by then. I don't know if I'll have the money for a new helmet by then though. That road is FUN on a bike.;)

Hopefully, I'm not breaking any rules for posting this.

Give my brother a call at Motorcycle Riders Inc out in Canoga Park at (877) 246-2337 or (818) 347-0833 and ask for Andrew. Tell him his brother, Armand sent you. He'll give you a good deal. They also do mail order. Website is ridersinc.com .

btw, this also applies to everyone here.

Don't worry about keeping up, it's not a race. R4 and I will let loose when it's just us but not with a group. It would be too easy to drop people and miss turns at side roads and such.
FWI, bring cameras. The view from Rim of the World is awe inspiring,(if the smog isn't too bad  ).
There's a good Itallian place in BigBear that I have been going to for years. Great pizza and antipasta.

Sounds good to me. As far as cutting loose, if we all know of a turn or meeting spot you guys can go for it! Might strap my camera bag on and bring digital camera and camcorder.
