Now that's a cool option I hadn't considered especially since my frame is bare anyway and I can handle the frame by myself. Thank you sir

I've done it by myself with a 650 but best to have two people.  The frame isn't heavy but it's awkward.  I put the motor in from the right side when I did it.

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

Got a set of used front forks in good shape with integrated reflector to rebuild with my new inner tubes, a pair of replica rear shocks with integrated reflector, and a used 6 bolt front hub coming this week.
Next question came up, I only have one 6 bolt front rotor and I'm confused on the date codes. It has F9 in the usual place but reversed. What little I've come up with identification methods have the number before the letter. It also has 7H2 stamped between two bolt holes. See picture

Any ideas on what this came off of?

It looks Kawasaki but it's not from a Z1.

Don't recognize it.  Date code format of Z1 disks is 'digit alpha', stamped on the disk itself between the rivets.  Other undocumented characters do appear on the disk carriers.

One thing I would say is if you are planning to use it I would advise "stripping" the surface that sits against the wheel. That coating looks real thick and will cause the disc to run out of "true" which can cause pad "knock back" (nothing spoils your day like grabbing a handful of brake and nothing happens)

Will do, I'll know more when my 6 bolt hub gets here.

Ya need a 1973 disc? I have one, thanks to Marty! Have no immediate need for it. That looks like a Honda or Suzuki disc btw. No Kawasaki discs were marked that way.

Have a Z1 Hub with those "plastic" plugs in nice shape too. Just saying.

I am interested in the disc and depending on what kinda shape the hub I have coming is in might be interested in the hub too. I'm fine with the moderator giving you my phone number

Super nice ... how much? Or is there anything you're looking for that I might have for a trade?
