Custom bike... More troubles ahead!

I just scored a 1982 KZ750 4 banger and some parts, including a KZ750 400 titled frame. I'm in trouble as I think I will try to use as much of the 400 frame as possible to build the 750 (no frame just an engine, carbs, exhaust, and wiring) I'm proficient at welding so do you all think it is worth the effort over the winter?

Question is the 400 frame for a twin or for a 400 4? If it is the twin frame I would think it may be too narrow for the 750 4, but what do I know. I have never tried what you are thinking about doing.
