The link below is this list but only for the "R" models. While many of the info there is not absolutely required for my decision, it is quite what I would like to see. Does such a list exists somewhere?
Thanks!!

Yes, I already saw this page. But it covers only KZ1000 from 1981 and 1982. Nothing about 1100 or models of 1100 cc.Skidmark wrote: Wikipedia.org has a lot of info that may be useful to you...

KZ, GPZ, ZN, ZX 1100-J engines have a lot of mod opportunities. The used part market for those engines still thrives, especially on ebay.

That's one of the reason for me to look for a 1981-1984 model but the main reason is that I drooled over one of those in the 80's...daveo wrote: KZ, GPZ, ZN, ZX 1100-J engines have a lot of mod opportunities. The used part market for those engines still thrives, especially on ebay.
And because this precise model is possibly next to impossible to find, I would love to see all the models Kawasaki offered in the 1000/1100cc range. I would love to find a page similar to the link I posted in the OP.

Question: Are GPZ1100 kind of collectibles? I could possibly get a 1982 said to be in showroom condition. Said to have won a few "beauty contests". I'm not really attracted at GPZ but I'm trying to ask myself why...
I also could get a 1977 standard KZ1000 that seem to be very clean...

Last post - I want a kz1100r
There is a lot of differences between these bikes, KZ100 is a classic, standard Kawasaki made in large numbers, the kz1100r is a sport bike made in very small numbers.
If you want a specific bike go for it, if looking and trying to decide the guys here can answer questions.
