The R models of found in any shade are high dollar. $10k plus for a project full restoration to $18k for a nice rider and $30k for a mint condition.
I found a 1981 1000J but getting answers from the seller is not easy. I'm still hoping we finalise the transaction. The bike is in running order but probably has seen better days in the past.
As for the "R" models, I know they are pretty rare and expensive. Still hoping though as miracles can happen (sometimes)...
My best bet would be a 1983 1000J3 but they are harder to find than R models...
