hello after posting about ST fuel tank fitting to CSR frame i thought id better put a post in the projects section about my alleged cunning plan! the bike was purchased via ebay a couple of weeks ago along with the 1000 LTD in the back ground it has been of the road since 1995 but seems to have been kept dry ish. the rats and mice have had a good chew on the wiring and the airbox but other than that its not too bad, the engine turns at least! the plan is to make a MK 3 Z1000 thingy . the running gear will be KZ1000 P, wheels , clocks etc. maybe some rearsets to get rid of the horrid standard foot peg mounts. the plan is to use as much kawasaki bits as possible. first pic shows bike as advertised. some body spent a lot of time making parts from stainless including the side panels!!!! the sissy bar and seat have gone in the skip as have the bars and highway pegs. heres some pics

busy weekend getting the rear end back together after a PO cut it off. im sure the handling was great due to the lack of shock brace! work supplied a table for the frame tubing which was the perfect size inside and out,two chair legs for the seat riser tubing and a KZ 400 frame gave up the brace and inner rear mudguard

tank fitted without too much trouble and works with the CSR forks and triples and also KZ 1000p forks and triples. a bit of bashing on the inside to clear frame rail at the rear im going to be using the standard airbox so had to make something up for the rear that could unbolt
