Looks great. Love the color. 99% or the old bikes I see around here are black.

I figured I would try to start her up today for some 4th of July fireworks. I first sea-foamed the carbs completely while still on the motor, let them sit for 2 days, then drained the float bowls, (a lot of crud). Cleaned up and freed the Pingle petcock valve that had been in the off position for some 20 yr's. That's about all I did. This is a 1327cc motor and it is only kick-start as the way it was built. With a fresh battery hooked up I put my right leg to work. If not very careful, the kick lever will come back up and hurt you. It did start up after several kicks and stayed running for about 10 seconds. I think I should have drained the race fuel that had been in the tank but I hadn't. Will try again this weekend and try to include a video and pics.

Yep, I know it, but sometimes that's what life can do to ya, (keep you off the track and in the pit's) if you know what I mean. Anyway, I could not fire the bike back up today, and believe me I tried. The arch in my right foot is at least 1" higher from kicking the hell out of her. I think it's carb related as I did not remove them for a proper disassembly and cleaning. The #1 carb floods fuel as soon as I turn on the petcock and try to start up. Stay tuned for more.....: )

Still cleaning the corrosion protectant off that I used liberally before storage. "Sometimes it's what's under the seat that counts".....

That is a new battery but not the correct one,(does not fit in battery box). I just J-rigged that one in there so that I could try to start the motor. I had a Novella dry cell battery in there from 20+ yr's ago that had seen better days.
