Hi all
I joined the forum the other week having picked up a 1979 KZ400. It's a US import KZ400H and it looks like this...
It's not running at the moment, the fuel tank wasn't connected, the battery is flat and who knows what else is going on. It generally looks very good though with no suspicious fluid leaks or wonky bits.
It is missing a right side footpeg and airbox but I don't think it'll take much to get it going. I've had the carbs off and cleaned them up although who knows if I've put them back together properly!
I'll probably take it to a garage to get it going because I wan't to get it registered and ride whilst we still have some good weather!
All in all I'm very pleased!
If anyone has any air filter tips I'd be interested to hear them - I doubt stock airbox will be an option and I've heard that pods are generally a nightmare to get running right.
