I almost considered modifying the ST tank, but I bought 3 KZ1000s and the ST is a complete bike with title. It would be a shame to cut up a complete KZ1000 ST just for the tank. It will be rebuilt to stock and likely sent to a good home (I already have too many bikes to ride).

I can appreciate that I thought you just had to body work not the whole bike.
I have room in my garage if you need to store a few bike in it.

I have a couple of bikes that could use a good home, but they aren't crowding the house yet.

Agreed! :cheer: The ST is a larger capacity tank too which can be an advantage. It's larger size looks great on a custom KZ build, IMO. B)

I was hoping that the ST tank would look good but it was not appealing to what I like once it was sitting on the frame. If I get my hands on the Z1R tank I have been hunting it might be a moot point anyway.

Tail fitting after tank adjustments and slight modification

A couple of updates. First pics are the mock up so far. The tail is not located and the bike is sitting on stubs to make it easier to work on. The second group is a check for the tunnel clearance on a standard, non cop tank.
