I started to assemble my Z1
30 Apr 2015 21:46 - 01 May 2015 17:06
I have been working on this bike for about four months and now I finally have everything ready and I am starting to assemble it. I should be done in a few weeks.
Here is it was when I got it last fall.
Starting assembly.
The lights in my garage make the orange look funny in the photos. So far it's all original or nos parts. The exhausts should be the only reproduction parts on the bike. I think it's turning out okay and I really like my license plate.

Your meticulous attention to detail really shows. The bike is beautiful; I can't wait to see the finished product! Ed

Looks great so far.
What's with the odometer though? I had the original mileage put back on a set of restored gauges I bought. i114.photobucket.com/albums/n248/Jeekinz/Z1/IMG_5626.jpg

The bike will is being absolutely remanufactured as new, so I wanted the miles at zero.

IMO the bike is more valuable with the original mileage in tact. If you don't have the original mileage and it's not on the title, thats one thing.

Really nice looking.....detail work is outrageous
I agree with Kid, but you have a good point too. Perhaps keeping a record of the original mileage (photo) would be a good thing to do. Really sweet looking so far.
