Having done my own I can appreciate the work that went into that bike. An excellent build. Great photos too!

Yesterday was a day for detailing. Fitting the silencer was hopefully the last big job I had to do on this rebuild.

I used a wooden skewer to add a little missing black paint to the side cover emblems.

My Z1 resto got picked up by some experts - for not having the DOHC engine cover logos in black outline - so I decided I would learn how to do that on this bike.

Some people spray the whole lot then wipe off the top flat surface with thinners to show the alloy letters. I decided to use brush paint applied with a wooden skewer (pointy end) and a tiny paint brush.

Here's how they turned out on the bike -

It's nice when the jobs are this small. Not looking forward to cleaning up three drilled brake rotors though

Old style oil paint is easier to deal with. Just wipe it off the outer surfaces. GOD that looks good. :woohoo: Too bad they can't stay that way if you ride it for any length of time. Good job. B)

If anyone would like to see a movie of the bike - without the finished paintwork - just click on this link.

Many Thanks for all the help and support on the build :cheer: :cheer:

Being jealous is a sin so lets just say I admire your work. Are you from Beaumont? That's just a half hour away from me. I think I remember that old hotel. Sat empty for years just off the FWY. They were going to tear down the dinosaurs at Cabezon until people raised a stink about it. Now you can barely see them with all the buildings around them. Gone are the good old days. :(
