1976 Kz 900
06 Jul 2014 17:52
Found the bike in a barn behind my son in law's place.
Has not been on the road in years. The VIN# was not in the system so I was given a clean ownership by making a declaration saying it was given to me.
Replaced all the ignition components "points, condenser, coil packs, wires and plugs. Cleaned the tank and gave it some fresh gas. Put a charger on the battery and it held a charge after all this time. Put clean oil in it. It fired up after a bit of cranking.
I tried to load a few pictures but thye site keeps telling me about a fatal error
Will try to this thread updated. Will also be asking some questions.

Awesome score!!!!! Reminds me of my 76 kz900 I found in a shed a few months ago but yours looks a lot better. Here's a pic of my 900 when I rescued it and one of it now. I have been riding the hell out of it. My only problem,
I can't keep it under 80 lol cops in my small town are all over it. Doesn't help that I run my kerker with no baffle.( but it sounds so darn sweet)lol.stay safe and have a blast

I have put about 50 miles on this bike.At first it would barely run.
Now it runs way better than I could hope for.
No smoke,no noises,
It pulls hard right up to redline.
I put my last license plate on it and since I live in the country I just take it down the paved back roads.
It is getting safe tied next Thursday and I hope to be on the road legally.
I hope to return the bike to a totally stock look.

On the road legal. ![:) :)](/media/kunena/emoticons/8.png)
Mechanic was surprized by it's condition after sitting so long.
Been doing some polishing. To much fun![B) B)](/media/kunena/emoticons/1.png)
