Got the carbs mostly together but have run into a strange problem,The silver GS float bowl is a place keeper for the GPz bowl that has gone missing. It was in my carb box when I started but when I went to put it on #3 it was nowhere to be found.Me and the wife have looked everywhere it could be.Two or so weeks ago the standpipes for my 78 GS1000 petcock did the same thing. We are at a lose to know what is going on.

Great bikes the GPz750R1, 75% of a Lawson rep for less than 25% of the price. Probably as rare now. As well as looking so cool, they handle really nice.

My R1 is mutton dressed as lamb, needing frame, bodywork and engine paint, maybe do it this year. I'm thinking either diamond white or brighter modern kawasaki red.

good luck and keep at it, it is well worth restoring.

I don't think we have them here, wouldn't be in the house if we did. It'd just weird.Yes TC I'm very happy I got the 82 750 version.Wanted a GPz550 since they where new but the more I get into it the happier I am that it's a GPz750.

Was getting some stuff out of the wife's pickup and low and behold there was the black bowl.We had taken it to see if the local dealer had gaskets then forgot it  Went to update and found a little problem

Well I bit the bullet and drilled the head off..Used a little to small a bit to begin with though as it was going past the head with no release.A bit of drilling with one size up and she popped. When it was done the stub came out with light finger pressure

Sorry but no real updates on this bike. All my time and money has been tied up with running problems on my 78 GS1000.An offer of a free Suzuki Katana has me wondering WTF I'm going to do as well.Storage space is already real tight here :side:

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationWell there is a small update. The airbox cap has been bugging me so I got this just to get the cap.If yours shows shipping to be $15 I payed double that to get it to Canada :side: Add in the low Canadian $ and it was an OK deal but no real bargain.Still happy to get at least one problem fixed :cheer:
